Briwolf is a school of hard knocks grunt, invisible illness warrior with 8/10 Childhood Trauma ACE Score, OIF Combat Medic who is working her way to Art Therapist & Acupuncturist that creates from her soul, drawing on her multifaceted personal experiences and American heritage with Nigerian, Ukrainian, and Pennsylvanian Dutch/German roots. Through her art and writings, she manifests her best wishes, faces her fears, wrestles with grief, rewrites her nightmares as dreams to give purpose to her pain, heals her inner child, and raises awareness of adulting literacy (medical, financial, historical, political, & love) thus educating on the oppression of illiteracy with a focus on celebrating the connecting and captivating power of hopeful resiliency and positive psychology.
Through clay, she grounds trauma in the earth and fires it into freedom, teaching that hands remember what minds forget. With kintsugi's golden repair, she declares fractures as sites of strength, illuminating darkness rather than hiding in it, honoring scars as the most valuable part of the story. Suminagashi's floating ink teaches flow over control, the dance with chaos rather than the fight against it, proving that beauty emerges when we release the illusion of mastery. Printmaking becomes a mantra…repetition and variation, the same yet different, showing that our patterns can shift while our essence remains. Mixed-media collage mirrors how we reconstruct identity after trauma, taking fragments and creating coherent wholes, making integration visible. Poetry and screenplays give voice to what the body knows but language struggles to speak, bridging somatic truth with narrative meaning. Playwriting stages the invisible, demanding audiences witness what society prefers to ignore. Songwriting weaves melody into medicine, proving that when we sing and dance, we can cope.
As an artist with disabilities and endless possibilities, she refuses the binary of broken or whole, instead claiming the third space where limitation births innovation, where adaptation becomes an art form, where access is revolution. Her work makes visible the invisible wounds borne by veterans, people with chronic illness, helpers drowning in compassion fatigue, and communities crushed by toxic stress; therefore, speaking to the healing power of the arts as prescription-strength medicine, not luxury or supplement. If she educates and leaves light behind for you to research, learn, and grow while she tickles your fancy enough to entertain you, then she has accomplished her goal as an artist: proof that resilience is real, that hope is an empowering choice, and that true healing happens in the hands that create.

Briwolf's Rolling with the Punches [2024] [Medium: Suminagashi]
"Genocide: David vs Goliath. A story of Ukrainian resilience as the world simply watches". The artist was ashamed as an American just watching war and its brutality being raged on the land of her ancestors and our allies. But she has never been prouder of her Ukrainian blood Fighting for freedom did not end in 1776. Nor did it end in 1964 for Civil Rights for her proud black roots. And the fight for freedom in Ukraine did not end in 1991 after the fall of the Soviet Union. The fight for freedom is every damn day! The artist stands with Ukraine and anyone else who will hold the line for freedom. God Bless Ukraine. Ukraine give them hell!
