Who is Briwolf?
School-of-hard-knocks grunt, invisible illness warrior, 8/10 Childhood Trauma ACE Score
OIF Combat Medic working toward becoming an Art Therapist & Acupuncturist
American heritage: Nigerian, Ukrainian, and Pennsylvania Dutch/German roots
What her work does
Manifests her best wishes, faces her fears, wrestles with grief
Rewrites nightmares as dreams, gives purpose to pain, heals her inner child
Raises awareness of adulting literacy (medical, financial, historical, political, love) and the oppression of illiteracy
Centers hopeful resiliency and positive psychology
Mediums, and what each one teaches
Clay — grounds trauma in the earth, fires it into freedom; hands remember what minds forget
Kintsugi — declares fractures as sites of strength; honors scars as the most valuable part of the story
Suminagashi — floating ink teaches flow over control, the dance with chaos instead of the fight against it
Printmaking — repetition and variation; patterns can shift while essence remains
Mixed-media collage — reconstructing identity after trauma, fragments into coherent wholes
Poetry & screenplays — voice for what the body knows but language struggles to speak
Playwriting — stages the invisible, demands audiences witness what society prefers to ignore
Songwriting — melody as medicine
Her stance as an artist
Refuses the binary of broken or whole; claims the space where limitation births innovation, hardship becomes healing, adaptation becomes art
Makes visible the invisible wounds of veterans, people with chronic illness, helpers in compassion fatigue, and communities under toxic stress
Treats art as prescription-strength medicine, not luxury
Goal: leave light behind, prove resilience is real and hope is a choice is still possible

Briwolf's Rolling with the Punches [2024] [Medium: Suminagashi]
"Genocide: David vs Goliath. A story of Ukrainian resilience as the world simply watches". The artist was ashamed as an American just watching war and its brutality being raged on the land of her ancestors and our allies. But she has never been prouder of her Ukrainian blood Fighting for freedom did not end in 1776. Nor did it end in 1964 for Civil Rights for her proud black roots. And the fight for freedom in Ukraine did not end in 1991 after the fall of the Soviet Union. The fight for freedom is every damn day! The artist stands with Ukraine and anyone else who will hold the line for freedom. God Bless Ukraine. Ukraine give them hell!
